Time to "Spring Clean" Your Website
Ah, Spring time is here! Everyone knows that this is the time to DEEP clean your house for the year. You know, totally redo things around your house. Maybe it is changing the placement of furniture, decorations, colors, etc. It is a time to revitalize the place that you live in.
Okay, what about your website? You may or may not know but you can also "Spring Clean" your website. There are many things that you can do to revitalize and bring new life to your site.
Here are a few ways that you can spring clean your website:
Add Something New: Add a new section that is filled with resources that your target audience will find helpful. For example, you can add tips, tricks, and even advice. Adding these will give a person a reason to come back to your site. You can also add special deals that you might have, drawing traffic to your site.
A New Face: Give your site a facelift. Add new graphics, rewrite your text, etc. Making these minor changes will give your site a new presence on the web.
Change Colors: Take a look at your site and see if there are any color changes that you can make that will change the feel of the site. You will be surprised what a change colors can bring to your site!
Content: Review your entire site; all the content, links, etc. Go through the remove dead links that you might have. Also, remove any content that no longer appeals to your target audience. Then add new content.
Surveys/Polls: You might think about adding online surveys and online polls to your site. This not only gives you information about the people that come to your site, but will also provide interaction between your audience and your website. A key to doing this is to give your audience a prize for doing so. You should try it!
Newsletters: If you are not providing your audience with a newsletter, you should start doing so! Newsletters are a great marketing tool and will spike traffic to your site. Personally I use MailChimp. This newsletter campaign program works wonders and is great on pricing! While on the subject of newsletters, don't forget to signup for my newsletter. Use the form at the right-hand side of my site.
Spring time is a time for revitalization and a new life, why should your website be an exception?
