Cooking and Twitter Doesn't Go Together

So the other day I was twittering away at my computer. It was my turn to cook dinner so I posted this post and started to cook the hamburger meat. So me, being addicted to twitter like most people, as the meat was cooking, went back to tweeting. So after the meat was done cooking, I added all the ingredients and let the dinner simmer. So I went back to tweeting, probably not the smartest thing to do as this post can show. Good thing my "spidey-sense" told me to go check the dinner and stir, or else it would have burnt the food beyond editability. Well in the end, I finally got of twitter and ate the dinner. So my friends, if it is your turn to cook dinner and you are tweeting, all I have to say is BE CAREFUL not to burn it. [superemotions file="icon_biggrin.gif" title="Big Grin"] ~ Kyle Reddoch

Goodbye MS Outlook...Hello Thunderbird

I recently changed my email client of choice to Mozilla's email client called Thunderbird. Why? Well here is a little history as to why I changed. I have been having trouble with MS Outlook totally freezing up when trying to send email out. It would open and receive email just fine, but when trying to reply and send new email, it would lockup. After that being the case for about 2 weeks or so, I began looking for alternatives that I could use. I was already using FireFox and love Mozilla so I said, "Aha! I will use Thunderbird." My experience with Thunderbird has been GREAT so far. I love all the themes and extensions that you can add to it. It is just like FireFox but an email client. So my friend, if you are in need of a GREAT email client or just feed up with Outlook, head on over to Mozilla and grab Thunderbird today! The Importance of Internal Links

You know what internal links are, right? If you don't, here is a brief understanding of what they are:
Internal links are the links within your site that link to other pages on your site. This is very important because it allows the search engine bots that roam the internet to be able to find all your information on your site.
Anybody who is in charge of a website or runs a website needs to be aware of a few easy, basic search engine tactics. If these tactics are used right, you will be able to interlink your website so that the major search engines, like Google and Yahoo will rate you higher in both PR (page rank) and the search engine results for your keyword(s) term(s). When you are developing a website, you tend to put a lot of pages that have information that is alike and pointed to a certain niche that you want to connvey to your readers. Most likely you will have basic information, news, how-to's, and specific sales pitches that will inform your visitors. Having an internal linking structure setup, will benefit your visitors and help your search engine visability. A perfect navigation structure makes the major search engines jump for joy! They will then in turn, reward you for improving the experience of your visitors. For instance, if you have a navigation structure that will allow your visitors to easily find what they are looking for, search engines will give you more page rank, index your pages more often, and rank higher your site in search results. How do you accomplish this task? Well, there are a few tactics you are able to use that will improve the linking structure. I will only cover one, but it play a major part.

Text Links Only

I am sure that you have seen websites out there that have pretty bells and whistles, or that is what I like to call them. Basically they are image or javascript links that have fancy roll-over or some kind of other effects to them. Does this really score big with the major search engines? NO it doesn't! You need to remember that the search engines robots can't follow links that are created from images or by javascript coding. You want to add simple text links that will allow the robots to be able to freely follow throughout your site and index it. Many web developers tend to want to add all of these realy cool, fancy image and javascript links to your site to add some pazzaz to it. The only thing I ask you to do is to keep an eye on them. Make sure that they are not creating your links in that manner. ~ Kyle Reddoch
